I'm Working on It!

So we all have something to work on and I admit that I am an official blog slacker! I don't really care to find the time because I'm trying to eat up every minute with my baby before I have to go back to work. However, I am trying to turn a new leaf and am slowly going to play catch up. Be patient as I do because I know that all this is old news. However, I want to record it on here because this is my family history. Plus, hopefully if I can work really hard and catch up then we will get up to date posts!

No More Excuses!

Ok...so I am out of excuses....that long list I wrote about a month ago....well, I've exhausted that list and more. Now it's pure laziness. I'm actually on track break right now so I don't really have as much to do (at least on the school side of it). So I decided I would at least update whats gone on over the last, long, little while (an oxymoron I know).

First, I would like to welcome the newest member of our family...my new nephew, born on November 24. He is super cute. I had the wonderful opportunity of going to visit my family for a week on my track break. Also, spending time with family...my 3 year old niece is pretty much the cutest thing alive. She is so funny, smart, and entertaining.

My cute little nephew only 1 week old.

Emma is so stinkin' cute and she knows it!
So I spent a week away with family and then came back into town and stayed a little busy. My best friend, Jessica, was here visiting for a few days. We managed to snap a few pics!

Now Jessica has gone and I will attempt to finish Christmas stuff, clean the house, bake some Christmas goodies, and more fun Christmas stuff! I can't believe Christmas is already so close...my how time flies by!

Where have I been?

I have been slacking in the blogging world, and just wanted to update everyone that this slacking is most likely going to continue. I have too much on my plate right now to even worry about my blog-however, in my lazy moments I will still be checking all of yours. If I added trying to catch up on my blog I think I may have a nervous breakdown-so goodbye for now- I will return when I'm less stressed. Most likely around Thanksgiving-as I will be tracking out then. Just some things on my stressed out list in case you think I'm overreacting:

  4. Teacher Workshop at Lakeshore
  5. Teach 14 girls how to sew and what to sew (after school program)

  11. Teach 16 1st graders how to add, subtract, read, write, etc.

The list could keep going but I'm going to get started on it right now. Thanks for understanding! Love you all!

Late Tag!

I still have to post my pics of Boston and all other happenings since then, but my Aunt did this letter tag. It was cute and so I decided I'd do it-that was about 2 weeks ago. But better late than never right?

Rules: Leave a message and I will give you a letter, then you have to come up with ten things you like with that letter. My Aunt gave me the letter

Ten Things I Like Which Begin With the Letter T- (in no particular order):

  1. Time: although I always wish there was more of it

  2. Timoteos- Especially one, Ezra, my wonderful husband. My husband is always happy and it keeps me happy. There is never a dull moment with him! I love the rest of the Timoteos, too.

  3. Teaching- I love my job teaching is so exhausting, but rewarding

  4. Talking-those of who know me know this is way tooooo true

  5. Thayne (he's my Dad) and he's the most amazing Dad in the world! He has taught me many things including but not limited to: hard work, kindness, love, and much more!

  6. Telephones: this aides me in #4 talking because most my friends and family don't live close.

  7. Thrift Store Shopping-I'm addicted to the Goodwill- I need a fix at least once a week! Sick, I know! If anyone knows how to help let me know!

  8. Tickling: not the laugh so hard it tickles, but the soft tickles on my back. Awww nice.

  9. Traveling: I haven't traveled to many places but I have loved the ones I have been to they include: Hawaii, California, Arizona, Idaho (Mexico-if you count Nogales), New York City, Washington D.C., Boston, Spain, and France (a few other states but nothing too spectacular)

  10. The Twilight Saga! Love it, love it, love it!

Slacker Blogger!

My new name is slacker blogger. I can give excuses but nobody really wants to hear them. Sometimes I just think..I want to post but then I I have to find the camera and upload the pictures and then pick the good ones. By then, I've moved on to something else to do-probably just checking your blogs! Well since I'm such a slacker I've given up the posting highlights from each place and am resorting to a slide show so that I can hopefully catch up as I am now 2 months behind in blogging! So enjoy the slide show! New York was so much fun I could write a ten page post about it, but lets be honest, we all know I wouldn't-even though I could.

Highlights of New York in words: Broadway, mastering the Subway, Lower East Village Apt, Canal Street, Purses, Central Park, Statue of Liberty, Dylan's Candy Bar, spending time with sisters, and more!

D.C. Slideshow

Sister Summer Trip 2008

Okay, so I know if any of you have checked my blog may be wondering if I was still alive....well I am. However, I vacationed way too much and didn't even get too close to a computer. Now I'm back in school and back to the real world so I figured I should post about all my vacations! Yay! There was way too much to see to blog about all of it. I have decided to put three posts in consecutive order-one from each city. The 1st is Washington D.C. We had a wonderful time and so much fun. We loved all the history and memorials and even became Metro connosieurs by the end of each city! I will try and hit the highlights from each place (very difficult to narrow down) and then I will put more pictures in a slide show!
The Lincoln Memorial! What an awesome president!
The Washington Monument!
I love this picture because it shows everyone how disgustingly hot, sweaty, and sticky it is there! Ew Gross! We glisten!
Georgetown
On the tour thingy at Arlington Cemetery Tomb of the Unknown Soldier- changing of the guard. Really neat!
This the ampitheatre at the Tomb of the Unknown-really pretty!
This is the marker we walked a long long way to see-as it was our Grandma's brother- we took some pictures- then when I went to visit her I told her and she said her brother's middle name was "Wadsworth" or something like that....what a waste of our legs. Although, the real marker may have been farther-who knows?
The White House at night- Ashley was pretty sure it would be easy to hop the fence if you wanted to, but for some reason she didn't want to try!
Really cool picture of the Washington Monument!

This is the water guy who got in a fight with a licensed water/ice cream seller....they were yelling and throwing water bottles and all sorts of crazy stuff!

Outside the National Archives Museum-where we saw the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence!

On our last night Marcy and Ryan drove us to see the Washington D.C. temple! So pretty!

Murder Mystery Dinner Party

Our friend Emily and her husband James hosted a murder mystery party for Emily's birthday. It was a lot of fun. The setting was 1925 on a yacht called the Gilded Vessel and of course there was a murder! Well we all had our little books telling us all of our information and some not so good information too. The characters become more and more twisted with each other. It was a lot of fun. I'm probably a little biased, but I think my character was pretty much the coolest. My name was Lucinde Gucie, but I went by Lucie, I was a young Parisienne very big into the nightlife and men.
Lucie Gucie dancing the Charleston!
I think I may start wearing lipstick everywhere...I've always wanted to try but been too scared. I think it looks pretty good though!Ezra was Miles Latout, a race car driver, and myself as Lucie Gucie, heiress to Gucie Estate, I just have to wait one year! (We forgot the hat at the party, but we put it on for pictures sake).
Another shot of the dashing couple! Oooo la la, c'est magnifique! Too many sordid dirty facts known about one another sure can complicate a murder!

Erica was Desiree, a financially burdened woman who had a family vineyard that was taken out by a grape blight. Nathan was Jules (a jewelry dealer in Paris).

James was Wellington Waterloo, (the man in charge of the Gucie inheritance) and Emily was Bella, an up and coming opera star. Perhaps not so innocent...

This was Josh as Captain Mal, a decorated war hero, and Janine as Countess Nadya. Not as innocent as you may think either....

Who dunnit? Was it one of the men?

Or one of the stunning ladies...tres chic! You will never know unless you play "The Grapes of Frath"

Ezra's Birthday Bash (well kinda)

This was Ezra's birthday dinner... the dessert was delicious! Pizzookies at B.J.'s. However, you'd think it was mine since I'm the one with the spoon. I won't let go of the spoon, but sure I'll give my husband a Happy Birthday kiss! I am the luckiest girl alive to have a husband as handsome and wonderful as mine!
Darrell and Vanessa joined us for the happy occassion and then later we went to the San Genarro Fest!
Darrell said that in every picture he sees of me with food my mouth is open! So this is their Lynsie's food picture pose! I sure hope I don't look as goofy as Darrell!

I know! I know! I need to post!

I have been told by many that I need to post...if not, I am breaking some unwritten code of blogging friendship. So... I don't think I posted any pics from my birthday or any other fun stuff that happened in the last month. I hate to post without pics because it is so much more fun to look at pics!
On my birthday I went to dinner with my friend Mikkel and her cute little boy Trajen! We had a pretty good dinner, but it was more fun to just visit and talk about good ol' college days, Twilight, and kids.

My not-so-good dessert. It looks a lot better than it tasted!

Trajen blowing out my candle! It was so cute!

Catchin' Up!

I’ve had my nose in these Twilight books for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately I finished them awhile ago and now need to replace the empty spot in my soul with something else. Dreams of vampires! Hehe. Well, since that hasn’t been my excuse over the last week and a half I’d have to say….I had to catch up on all the work I neglected during my Twilight days. Which explains my lack of blogging. I decided I would take a moment to catch up on my blog. I can't catch up on everything but I'll try to this week. Here goes:

Happy Birthday to Us! Let's take the day off!

Cami and I decided we deserved a break from work and school. So for our birthdays we took the day off. It was a blast and so relaxing to not have to worry about school or being anywhere. We started the day off with some delicious breakfast from Hash House A Go Go. If you haven't been you should go- DELICIOUS!Woah! Look at these breakfasts! Delicious cinnamon banana french toast for Cami and vanilla waffles for me below. Yummy! The gross part is I actually ate it all. I know...disgusting, huh?
It's pedicure time! Yay...we love pedicures and not knowing what they're saying about our toes! I was a little ticklish! Our cute little toesies with their beautiful artwork.

The real Cami and Lynsie... can anyone take us serious?
