Okay so I figured I better finally document the nearly perfect day before I forget it. Plus, I am getting very far behind in other posts now. Anyhow, what makes a perfect day you ask? I will start at the beginning. I usually work a part time job on Saturdays and hardly ever have a Saturday off because lets face it- who else can handle 60-80 kids making useless crafts for a few hours better than me? (Just kidding, hopefully they figure it out soon).
So, when I do have a Saturday off its usually because I have something else going on- a baby shower, a wedding, I'm out of town for something, a training, you name it. However, this particular May 16th of a Saturday- I took off purely for the reason that it was the Saturday after our birthdays and I wanted the day to spend with my husband and myself. Aww, I think I may be quitting sooner than later, because it was absolutely WONDERFUL! I know we did extra stuff, but just having the day off to do nothing or to do house work would be wonderful too. Just spending the time with Ezra is what makes it a perfect day- with some added bonuses! I took pictures to document the day!
1st event- SLEEPING IN! Sorry I don't have a picture of this one. Ezra always wakes up earlier than I do, but not today, which made it even more perfect- nothing better than getting up when you want (around 9:30 if I remember correctly). It probably helps that we were both exhausted from Field Day the day before. Sleeping in-Aww, wonderful.

Moms are the Best!
Okay so Moms in general are the best, but my mom-I know I'm biased- is the absolute best. I will give you all credit, because hopefully, you all think you're mom is the absolute best and I think that's what Heavenly Father would want us to do. This isn't a "my mom's better than yours" competition, but since it's my blog- I'm entitled to my opinion that my mom is the most amazing and special because she is mine! I hear all the time from many that I am just like my mom and that we resemble each other most too. I will take them all as compliments. If I am like my mom I am succeeding at something.- How to pray
- How to listen
- That its okay to cry
- How to sew
- How to cook
- How to read
- The love of dancing
- The love of music
- To love the Gospel
- To serve others
- How to smile
- How to hide the good treats so you can eat them at your pleasure
- How to butter the popcorn the best
- How to make Butter Syrup (which has since affected many many lives)
- How to love
- How to be a supportive wife
- How to realize my divine potential
- How to be a friend
- How to work
- How to laugh
- To respect others
The list could go on and on because I'm pretty sure that anything important my mother taught me!

The First Pictures
These are the first pictures of I'm sure many, many, many more to come! Yes, we are finally pregnant! We are so excited and it has been a long road, but we couldn't be happier. I just love my little baby and I could stare at these pictures all day. When we got the ultrasound I got choked up in my throat to see my baby moving around, see the heart beat, and then to hear the heartbeat! I am 13 1/2 weeks and can't believe it, I keep thinking that time is going by way too fast! We are due November 7th, and we will find out what we are having in about 7 weeks!
This picture above is my absolute FAVORITE one! I am carrying it around with me everywhere (I know silly). I love it because you can see the little leg, feet, hand, body, and the shadow of the eyes and nose. It also looks like my little baby decided to look right at me and wave! Hi mommy! Hi Daddy! That's my little baby! It is absolutely amazing to me! You would be this crazy and obsessed if it had taken you as long to get where I am! I know some of you it has or even longer! I want to find the joy in every minute of being pregnant! I think I am doing a pretty good job. Ask me in a few months I guess (then I may be miserable). Having waited for so long and prayed and fasted for so long I have a new found appreciation for this miracle. I thank my loving Heavenly Father every day, and thank him that he knows what is best for us (even though we may not realize it). Did I mention how excited I am!Posted by The Odd Couple at 11:08 PM 18 comments

Fun Surprise Weekend!
So this weekend we drove up to Utah to attend the temple with our sister, Amy. It was a very fun and filled weekend. When we arrived very late on Friday night my mom, dad, Ashley, and fiance J.B. were surprised. Then the next morning my mom was talking to my sister, Amy, on the phone; then she handed me the phone. So I asked, "What else are you doing this morning?" She exclaimed, "Lyyynnssieee! What are you doing here?" I told her I came to go to the temple with her. She got emotional and then I got emotional because all we do in our family is cry. The session was wonderful. Everything was great! I just love my family so much, I think I pretty much have the coolest family in the Universe. My little niece and nephew are growing so much! We went to dinner and even ran into a good old college friend and his wife. Probably one of the best neighbors Snow Village #1 girls could ask for. I could also put any one of a million embarrassing photos of him on here, but I will spare the ridicule. It was fun seeing you Joe Fail! The night continued with ice cream at home and visiting with family. Church on Sunday was good, I got to see my other good friend Megan and her husband and their baby whom I haven't seen for 6 1/2 months. He was super cute!
Not much else, oh except I actually got to read a book. It was very interesting and a great story, not a whole lot of action. It is titled, "The Book Thief" and takes place in Nazi Germany. I would recommend it if those kind of stories interest you. The best part about the weekend was about 3 hours away from home I realized I left my purse and camera behind the couch at Mom's! What an idiot! Oh well, life goes on! I will post a picture when I get it! Well that's all for my weekend- it went by way too fast, but it was wonderful to be with family! I love you everyone!
